Actress Angelina Jolie has revealed that three of her children with Brad Pitt wanted to testify in a bitter custody dispute.
She claimed one of the children was concerned that the actor, whom she split from in 2016, would frame them for financial crimes, revealed People magazine.
However, a source told the publication that neither Jolie nor Pitt’s camp “think much of” their interview.
Jolie, 41, filed for divorce in September 2016 and Pitt, 54, since has been seeking joint custody of the pair’s six children, Maddox, 17, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
The claim came in the actress’ first court appearance last week after being granted temporary custody while she completes a psychiatric evaluation, reports People.
“I do not want to do this anymore,” Jolie said, according to People.
“I just want to get it over with. I’m just tired. It’s been a long time. It’s been hard. We will all be better off. We will all be able to move on.”
Jolie, who wore a black dress with a neck-line slit up to her inner thighs, is also reportedly determined to convince the Los Angeles Superior Court that it is Pitt who is not treating the children normally, reports The Sun.
The court documents seen by the publication suggested that Jolie had declared the 9-year-old twins “parental combatants” and in an effort to “transfer parental responsibilities” Jolie had asked that the other parent be given a break from co-parenting.
Since Jolie has had temporary custody over their children and said she wanted to set things to a final custody agreement in a trial she has declined to ask the judge to impose.
